I had an awesome plan for renovating my tiny little house room by room. Starting with my kitchen, moving to my bedroom and bathroom. Then working on my kids’ bathroom and bedroom. Ending with the living room. The living room doesn’t have a game plan and doesn’t need much work. I would be happy getting to this room near the end of the year.

However, just before Christmas, my wonderful neighbors offered us their slightly used living room furniture. They bought it only a couple years ago; however, they decided it was too big in their house.

Of course it’s too big in our house also, but it is much newer than our 13 year old furniture. So, we decided to grab it and work with it.

Except it doesn’t come close to matching my living room. My living room was done in a rose, white and country blue. It worked well with my old furniture and worked nice next to the new kitchen also.

The new furniture is burgundy, dark green and gold… with patterns. So, now I have to re-think my renovation game plan and include the living room sooner rather than later maybe.
