It’s December? Already?
| By Barb D | Category: On my mindThanksgiving has come and gone.
Black Friday and Cyber Monday too.
When I finally get around to changing my calendars, they will be down to their last page.
*makes note on mile-long to-do list to buy new calendars and to change all the calendars to December*
2010 will bring lots of new and exciting things. One thing is my new handcrafted present website at Etsy. I had hoped to launch prior to the end of the year, but life, as it so often does, got in the way of my plans. So I’ve decided to be content with a January launch instead.
And with new beginnings, there are often endings as well. And so is true for Wit & Whimsy. I am not closing Wit & Whimsy, simply one of my stores — the one at Cafepress to be exact.
About 18 months ago, I ventured into the wonderful world of Print on Demand, which I truly love. And Cafepress was my stepping stone into that world. They were the giant, the leader.
However, times change and business models change. I’ll not go into the details (I’m still a bit bitter, but if you’re interested you can Google Cafepress changes or contact me), but my main store (Wit & Whimsy) will be closing come January.
There will still be some Twilight designs left at Cafepress and perhaps one day I’ll work on some designs for the Twilight sequels. However, I do not have a moment to spare for that at this time.
So, you can still find my designs there until early January. After that Wit & Whimsy (and its sister stores) will be at Zazzle, Skreened and eventually Printfection.
Now, I don’t know about you, but I’ve got some calendars to change and some presents to wrap.
**Update: I’m headed out of town shortly after Christmas, and I’ve decided I will not be keeping my shops at Cafepress open until January. I will be closing Wit & Whimsy at Cafepress on or before December 28th.
I’ll be working hard to update my articles to point to Wit & Whimsy products at Zazzle and Skreened. I will also keep my Twilight designs at Cafepress and will update my link page with those links… as soon as I can.
