However, my husband is 140 pounds of solid muscle… he’s a diesel mechanic and lifts parts that are twice his weight on a regular basis. I always say (from a favorite movie of mine The Replacements) “He’s wiry” (said with a really bad Scottish accent).

]]>My children are usually the ones that show me videos that they think are ‘cool’ or ‘awesome’ or even ‘crazy’. Many times, I agree with them.
The things they do on that show… well, I’m just glad I don’t have a teen son because I’m sure he’d try some of these things and without the proper safety equipment. 
My husband has tried some of these crazy ideas from Myth Busters, but normally only the ones where he can’t be harmed too badly.

]]>One channel I do enjoy watching when I’m at someone’s house is the Discovery Channel. One day I was at my uncle’s beach house waiting for the rain to stop so we could go back out to Chincoteague Bay and I saw the show Deadliest Catch.
WOW. I was almost ready to plunk down some serious cash for cable when I saw the first episode. Since then, I’ve been hooked and watch episodes whenever I can.

]]>Jon and Kate have been the center of much publicity lately, most of it negative. Rumors are flying about the fidelity of the marriage and affairs of both Jon and Kate.
With all the controversy, can the marriage be saved? Can the show? While saving the marriage is something only the Gosselins can answer, I seriously doubt the show can be saved.
Last week I wrote an article about whether the show would be around much longer. With this coming announcement, might very well prove I was correct.
Monday, there will be an hour long episode of Jon and Kate Plus 8. Kate has stated there have been some “life-changing decisions” that will “bring each of us some peace.” Hmm… to me that means one of two things:
1) They are stopping the show and going to work on their marriage. To me, that would be the best option for the family, if it can be saved.
OR
2) They are getting divorced… which would basically terminate the show anyway.
So, as I said last week, it’s time to get your Jon and Kate memorabilia before it’s too late.
A quick showcase of some licensed products you can grab while they are hot. Who knows, you could probably sell them for profit down the road.
